Congress condemns Modi Government 1/6/2015 11:09:15 PM Early Times Report jammu, Jan 6: General Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Pardesh Congress Committee Rashid Choudhary condemned the dilution of Land Acquisition Act 2013 by introducing the Land Acquisition Ordinance by BJP Government and added that the new ordinance has been passed to please the corporate houses, as they spent money for BJP during the Lok Shaba elections. Strongly opposing the recently promulgated ordinance on the land acquisition legislation Dr. Rashid said that the farmers need to be consulted before their land is acquired. But the new ordinance has done away with the consent clause and without this clause any agency can walk and grab the land of poor farmers. This ordinance is pro rich and anti-farmers. Dr. Rashid further said that the removal of consent clause from the bill is a matter of grave concern. When the bill was passed the BJP had supported it.
