JMC distributes uniforms to SKCs, demolishea 15 illegal structures at Narwal Chowk

Jammu, Jan 6: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today organized programe in which they distributed uniforms to SKCs of Jammu East Assembly constituency.
According to press release, Rajesh Gupta newly elected MLA of Jammu East assembly constituency was Chief Guest on the occasion.
In his welcome address Commissioner, JMC Kiran Wattal informed that it was long pending demand of SKC's to provide winter uniform to SKCs, he also lauded the role of SKCs and committed to redress all the genuine issues of SKCs related to their welfare and reiterated that it is the prime responsibility of the Corporation to keep Jammu neat and clean.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajesh Gupta also lauded the role of SKCs and assured that he will raise issues related to SKCs before the concerned authorities vigorously.
On the occasion 218 uniforms were distributed to the SKCs.
Among others, JMC Secretary Naresh Kumar, Assistant Commissioner, Executive Engineers, Health Officer, Special Assistant to Commissioner, Chief Transport Officer, Assistant Executive Engineers and other field staff of Corporation were also present on the occasion.
Besides, the Chief Enforcement Officers along with field staff of Enforcement Wing on the directions of Commissioner, Kiran Wattal undertook an extensive anti-encroachment drive and demolish 15 illegal structures with the help of police being raised at Narwal Chowk on Government land.
The Jammu Municipal Corporation once again appeals to the shopkeepers to keep their goods within their premises without breaching the building line to avoid seizure of their articles and penalty for such defaults. The Rehari owners are also asked to keep their reharies mobile as the stationary reharies are source of obstruction for the free flow of vehicular traffic and also cause inconvenience to the pedestrians.
