Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 30: All is not well in J&K State Industrial Development Corporation (SIDCO) whose incumbent Managing Director has allegedly allotted work of macadamisation worth Rs 70 cr to a private company without tendering. Besides, most of the work was carried by the Industries minister in the erstwhile PDP-BJP government and his nephew. Sources informed Early Times that the Managing Director has not taken the lesson from his predecessor who was recently booked by Vigilance Organisation (VO) for his alleged involvement in illegal recruitment and other malfunctioning prevailing in the corporation. "Following the footsteps of his predecessor, the incumbent MD has also allotted spree of projects of macadmisation to a particular firm in violation of norms", sources said while wishing anonymity. They said the work of premix bituminous macadamisation of SIDCO centres like Bari Brahamna, Samba, Kathua and Gatti were allotted to TBA infrastructure Pvt. Limited.
