Has Government abandoned Jumbo Zoo project of Jammu?
11/30/2019 10:57:34 PM
Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 30: While as authorities have announced to start Bahu Fort Rope-way project within days, there is no mentioning of the much-publicized Jumbo zoo project in Jammu. This project is still on the papers because the detailed project report (DPR) of phase one of the 'ambitious venture' is yet to be approved by the higher-ups. Interestingly foundation stone of this project was laid with much publicity on September 10, 2016 by the then PDP-BJP government with a deadline to complete the work within a time frame of 'maximum two-year'. But more than three years have passed but there is no progress in the project. Some work was done during the tenure of Choudhary Lal Singh as Forest Minister but after that the project appears to be abandoned by the government. In the month of June this year, the Forest Department had informed Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Chander Mohan Gupta that DPR for phase -I of this project, amounting Rs 62.41 crore have been submitted to the Administrative Department for approval. The Forest Department is developing Jumbo zo...

Thanks to the shirker bureaucracy, the proposal to ensure upliftment in the education system being imparted in Government schools, has been shelved for years. "The proposal ws earlier mooted that ju...
