Passive for Jammu seats, J&K BJP leaders turn active for Amritsar
Camping in Punjab to canvass for party stalwart Arun Jaitley
4/21/2014 12:39:21 AM
Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 20: In yet another instance that speaks of irony and paradoxes in state unit of BJP, all senior leaders comprising top leadership of J&K have now converged at Amritsar for a specific task- canvassing for party stalwart Arun Jaitley who is contesting from this Parliamentary constituency. The irony is for the fact that what they did not do for their candidates on two seats of Lok Sabha in the Jammu region, is being given to understand , would be the role which in a way is self assigned task, albeit with a motive-to get registered in the eyes of this towering leader as also in trying to undo the damage with their 'still' performance in own state vis-a-vis their...

Jehangir Rashid SRINAGAR, Apr 20: Over the past one week or so, National Conference President, Dr. Farooq Abdullah has issued two statements that could have easily landed him into trouble but Alas! That was not to be, thanks to the non-seriousness of election authorities of Jammu & Kashmir. Dr. Farooq Abdullah who is the National Conference-Congress coalition candidate for Srinagar-Budgam-Ganderbal Lok Sabha seat virtually dropped a bombshell when he held People’s Democratic Party responsible for the militant attack on the Youth National Conference leader, Yawar Masoodi's residence at Pampore on Sunday last (April 13). Geelani's statement draws a hornet's nest
He is beating about the bush: KPs
4/21/2014 12:34:33 AM
Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 20: The hardliner Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani's statement has drawn a hornet's nest with BJP as well as Kashmiri Pandits out rightly rejecting the statement as baseless. Taking serious exception to the statement, Kashmiri Pandit organisations accused the Hurriyat hardliner of trying to defame BJP and create hurdles in its march to capture power at Delhi. The KPs are apprehensive that Hurriyat leader's statement is outcome of a big conspiracy hatched either by certain vested elements who are making last minute bid to stop BJP to come to power at Centre or at behest of Pakistan which has launched a tirade against Narendera Modi and BJP. The KP organ...
