Several KAS officers likely to quit over seniority row
`Discrimination continues even after change of guard'
4/25/2015 11:33:44 PM
Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 25: In the ongoing fight over KAS seniority list presently pending adjudication at Jammu and Kashmir High Court, several KAS officers including the petitioners are planning to resign from government jobs. According to them, discrimination continues even after change of guard in the state. It is pertinent to mention that the last regime is accused of discriminating against hundred KAS officers on flimsy grounds. The issue remains unsettled for the past five years. They said the incumbent government was also acting in a similar fashion by further stretching the issue unnecessarily by filling multiple LPAs/SLPs before the High Court and Supreme Court of India. As per the details available with "Early Times" the senior officers who are several in number and belong to different feeding services of KAS, are planning to quit the jobs if the government doesn't mend its ways. The decision regarding enmass resignation was taken during their meeting held at Jammu in which over two dozen officers participated while many others telephoni...

4/25/2015 11:33:31 PM
Javid Naikoo Early Times Report Srinagar, Apr 25: The city of Srinagar is getting a face lift yet again ahead of annual darbaar move. However, a probe ordered into the infamous facelift scam by former R&B minister remains inconclusive. Despite setting five deadlines since 18/10/2013 when early times first exposed the multi-crore scam , former Minister for R&B, Abdul Majeed Wani failed to probe the scam. Whenever Early Times sought explanations from him, he would say, "I forgot to appoint the enquiry committee." The infamous face lifting scam revolves around allotments sanctioned from the office of the Executive Engineer of R&B divisions 1 and 2 of Srinagar for different roads acros...

Vikramaditya's first political statement as PDP MLC
AIIMS row
4/25/2015 11:33:03 PM
Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 25: It may appear unbelievable, but it has happened. Former Sadar-e-Riyasat and senior Congress Karan Singh's son, Vikramaditya Singh, who was recently nominated to legislative council by the PDP on Friday surprised many by appreciating the Jammu bandh and the role of the CII, the Congress and the NC in what Jammu province witnessed against the local BJP leadership, BJP-led NDA Government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Vikramaditya not only justified the demand in Jammu for AIIMS-like institute, but also said that Jammu was in desperate need for better medical facilities. "Jammu is in desperate need for better medical facilities and, therefore, the Cen...

BJP shows thumb to Jammu, NC supports its movement for AIIMS
Very interesting
4/25/2015 11:32:54 PM
Early Times report JAMMU, Apr 25: Politics in Jammu has changed. Those who repeatedly stabbed Jammu from the back between October 1947 and December 2014 have started playing the Jammu card and those who seemingly stood for and fought for the "just" Jammu cause and national cause have started taunting, ridiculing and humiliating the people of Jammu province, despite the fact that they are there in the government because of the support of Jammu. It is not an exaggeration; it is statement of fact, which is easily verifiable. On Friday, when the people of Jammu province observed a massive bandh to register their protest against the decision of the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre and t...

Is deporting separatists to Pakistan a viable solution to silence pro-Pak forces in Kashmir?
4/25/2015 11:32:46 PM
Early Times Report Jammu,Apr 25: Is deporting Kashmiri separatists to Pakistan the only viable solution for silencing those who raise pro-Pakistan slogans or wave Pakistani flags ?This question has assumed significance after the RSS dished out a sermon to the Government of India telling it to deport to Pakistan those separatists who raise pro-Pakistan slogans. "Those who are chanting pro-Pakistan slogans, especially the separatists along with their families, the government of India should not allow them to live on the soil of India, according to senior RSS leader Indresh Kumar. "Indresh Kumar believes that once these separatists and their family members were deported to Pakistan i...

Separate settlements for KPs in Valley
Arguments against
4/25/2015 11:32:38 PM
Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 25: The move of the union government to set up separate settlements for internally displaced Kashmiri Pandits in the valley has not only upset "mainstream" Kashmiri parties and separatists of all hues, but has also disturbed the foreign-based Pakistani agents of Kashmir origin. They, like the Kashmiri leadership which opposes separate colonies for the KPs in the Valley, also use spurious arguments against the move, which, interestingly, many KP organizations, including the Panun Kashmir, also oppose for national reasons. What does the America-based Pakistani agent of Kashmir origin Ghulam Nabi Fai say about the issue? They say the move, if allowed to fructi...
