Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 21: As BJP leadership is all out to snatch constitutional rights of weaker sections, criticism of party ministers have started from different for not caring wishes and aspirations of the all sections of the society. After snatching constitutional rights of Other Backward Classes (OBCs), the BJP has initiated another step to deprive Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs) of their legal rights of reservation in government jobs. The new recruitment policy announced by the government in which recruitment would be conducted on contractual basis there is no provision of reservation. BJP ministers, including one SC and another ST, were signatory of the new recruitment policy because they were very much present in the Cabinet meeting which was held on Sunday especially for getting this policy approved. Credible sources said that SC and OBC leaders in the party have stepped up campaign against leadership for protecting interests of only some particular castes while as weaker sections are completely ignored. Peerzada Ummer Early Times Report Srinagar, Apr 21: Three months after after Delhi police registered a case of sexual assault against Asif Hamid Khan, the former Additional Resident Commissioner at J&K House New Delhi, no action has been taken against him so far. Khan, a KAS officer, was booked by the Delhi police after a woman officer, also KAS, alleged that he had sexually assaulted her. He was booked under Sections 354, 354-A and 354-B. Early Times Report Srinagar, Apr 21: Even as the politicians and the civil society seek protection of women against sexual exploitation at their work places, Jammu and Kashmir continues to be the only state in the sub-continent where prostitution is legal. According to the Public Prostitutes Registration Rules, 1921, a prostitute can carry on her trade legally if she registers herself with the District Magistrate. She has to fill in a simple application form, file it in person and pay Rs 5 as fee, and the minimum money which she can charge is Rs 15. Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 21: Ex-SHO of Vijaypur police station, SI Ajay Singh has washed his hands off the multi-crore Seora land deal, moving the court of law and claiming that the seal and signatures put on the Rs 90 lakh receipt did not belong to him. Early Times in its April 16, 2015 edition reported that the police officer, who then headed Vijaypur police station as its SHO, had allegedly issued a Rs 90 lakh receipt to Vinod Rishi, buyer of the plot, and put the police station seal and his signatures on it.
