| Omar takes another leaf of bread from mouth of OBCs' | | |

Jammu, Aug 25: All India Backward Classis Union (AIBCU) today said that the Chief Omar Abdullah led state government has taken another leaf of bread from the month of OBCs'.
According to press release, in a meet of the union which held here under the Chairmanship Abdul Majid Malik at Jammu and a similar meet at Srinagar under the Chairmanship of AA Najar under has condemned the unconstitutional and illegal decision of the State Chief Minister Omar Abdullah who granted 5% reservation to Pahari speaking people ignoring the state OBCs due share of 27%.
If reservation can be granted on the name of Pahari speaking then Government ignored the Rest of the people who speak Kashmiri, Punjabi, Dogri, Bhaderwai, Kishtwari, Hindi and Pogali, the leaders said.
Speakers and Participants expressed their grave concern that when Government rejected the recommendations of the Pahari Board for reservation to Pahari speaking people through its Law Department last year which appeared in many daily leading news papers, then how now the same can be granted to these people which does not have any legal and constitutional place.
"This is a treacherous move by the Omar lead Govt. which does not give any sense to the constitution, respect to the decision of the Apex Court and try to rule with their muscle force with jungle rules only. That which does not exist anywhere in the country can be seen in this state under the shade of Mis-use of Art. 370", they said, adding that Govt should rethink over the unconstitutional decision and grant due share to the State OBCs who have been struggling since 1992 and Govt. has enhanced only 2% reservation of the 22 years a big fraud with the State OBCs. |
