8/26/2014 12:33:52 AM

Early Times Report
Srinagar, Aug 25: Congress senior leader Faqir Khan today sought resignation of Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand from the government and the Congress party.
Talking to a Srinagar based news agency Khan said that he has taken up this issue with the Congress president Prof Saifuddin Soz and Ghulam Nabi Azad recently.
Khan said that despite communicating his grievances against Tara Chand, the party has failed to take any action against Tara Chand.
"If Tara Chand does not quit his ministry and steps down from the party post, I will quit the party along with my supporters," Khan said.
He accused Tar Chand had facilitated closure of government higher secondary school in Tulail-Gurez. "These schools have neither the faculty nor any infrastructure which has resulted into irreparable loss to the students," Khan alleged.
