Omar treating Jammu, Kashmir regions with different parameters | Reverse counting of Omar's Govt has started: Shah | | KATHUA, Aug 25: BJP national president Amit Shah today lambasted Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for his failure to provide good governance to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that days of Omar Abdullah government are numbered. "In the remaining days of his government, Omar Abdullah should focus of delivering governance to the people instead of wasting his time of mocking other people", Shah said while addressing a meeting at Kathua in which Choudhary Lal Singh joined BJP. He was reacted to a statement of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in which Omar has mocked BJP with the most popular slogan of "Achay Din" while referring towards firing on the borders. Shah spoke in very clear and plain language against Omar Abdullah and said that Omar has been treating people of Jammu and Kashmir regions with different parameters. Ahead of Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections, Shah pitched for a "nationalist government" in the state. He called on the people of J&K to end the dynasty politics to help the saffron party make a "Congress free India". "There is need for a nationalist government in J&K in view of it being a border state and its unity and integrity," Shah said. adding : "BJP is fighting to make Congress mukt Bharat (Congress-free India) and Jammu and Kashmir is also part of the country. So to make J&K Congress-free, you have to fight to make the state free from dynastic rule." Shah said it was essential to end the dynasty politics in order to develop the state on par with the BJP-ruled states. He said that for BJP and its workers, J&K elections are most important as party ideologue Shyama Prasad Mukherjee died in Kathua district for unity of the country. Reaching out to the people of the region, Shah said: "If you want development in J&K, you will have to elect a BJP government. This time we are not contesting elections to merely elect MLAs, but to form a BJP government in J&K." The BJP is seeking to accomplish "Mission 44+"-its objective of winning at least 44 of total 87 seats in the state in the upcoming Assembly elections. |
