JAMMU, Feb 16: Amid pangs of cabinet expansion, top leadership of National Conference (NC) is meeting here on Friday to reportedly deliberate over the issue alongside chalking out strategy for forthcoming budget session.
Sources in the National Conference (NC) said that its leaders are meeting to finalize list of those who are likely to be included in the possible cabinet expansion. They added that Dr.Mustafa Kamal, who happens to be a close relative of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, is likely to take up the Job of Political Advisor, a place which is currently being held by Mubarak Gul.
They further said that names Mir Saifullah and Choudhary Mohammed Ramzan are among other strong contenders for being inducted in the cabinet. Sources confirmed that NC leadership is likely to finalize its list in the meeting being held shortly at Jammu. On the other side, Congress sources averred that Abdul Majid Wani and Mohammed Sharief Niaz are leading form the front.

JAMMU, Feb 17: Planning Commission of India (PCI) has strongly rebutted vehement claims of successful implementation of centrally sponsored Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) scheme by Jammu and Kashmir school education department.
Despite getting 79 percent budgetary support for implementation of the scheme, commission has in its evaluation report on the implementation of Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) held the state government responsible for spending most of the funds meant for the scheme on raising the infrastructure and paying the salaries to the teachers appointed under the scheme.
