In 21st century, JK has no 'critical' air ambulances
2/1/2013 11:48:21 PM
Early Times Report SRINAGAR/JAMMU, Feb 1: Official claims and announcements notwithstanding, the Jammu and Kashmir Government has failed to procure air ambulances, a dire need in present times for shifting critical patients to tertiary care hospitals, despite approval from the Union Health Ministry three years back. According to official sources, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare had approved the proposal in year 2009, soon after former Chief Minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad took over as the Union Minister. However, on account of official apathy and lack of political will, the proposal is yet to take shape. The State Government had made the proposal a part of the Emergency Management Response System (EMRS) for critically ill patients needing intervention at tertiary care or super speciality hospitals, the sources added. "Two air ambulances to move seriously injured and critically ill people to super speciality hospitals in New Delhi or Chandigarh have long back been sanctioned by the Union Health Ministry, but till date there has been no headway", the sources said. 2/1/2013 11:48:06 PM
Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 1: The perverted mindset of separatists has once again started the perversion process of the opposing duration of Amarnath yatra. An outfit of Hurriyat Conference headed by hardliner Sayeed Ali Shah Geelani, who till now draws pension on account of being once a MLA, had said they will hold session to discuss the matter. It said the action would be aggressive and offence. Hurriyat, now just a organization at the fringe of the political landscape, is trying its best to rake up the issue of Amarnath yatra, to give it communal and regional colour, stoke up anti-India feeling. It's aiming to gain politically at cost of lives of ordinary Kashmir, if there is tensi...

Home Ministry asks JK Govt to secure life of separatists
Against national interest?
2/1/2013 11:46:35 PM
Rustam JAMMU, Feb 1: The Congress-dominated "secular" and "liberal" UPA Government is interested more in securing the life of Kashmiri separatists at the cost of the State against which they have been fighting since decades than booking them under charge of sedition and bringing them to justice so that the country is secured. How else should one interpret the Union Home Ministry's direction to the Jammu and Kashmir Government to "review in detail" the security of separatist leaders in Kashmir? It is the Kashmiri separatists and their mentor, Pakistan, who have made the life of common people in the State in general and Kashmir valley in particular as well as in other parts of the country hi...
