SRINAGAR, Sep 23: Infiltration of sizeable groups of heavily armed cadres of Lashkar-e-Toiba from Pakistani-controlled Kashmir in the last few months—that has been, of lat, seriously noticed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as well as Union Home Minister P Chidambaram---has begun to show in a big way in Kashmir valley. Srinagar, Sep 23: Two women committed suicide in the Kashmir valley, where the trend of taking extreme steps continues despite the Muslim ulmas issuing a fatwa and social, religious and NGOs expressing concern over it.
Official sources said here today that one Suriya Jabeen hanged herself in her Muqam Sahib Peer Sopore in Baramulla district.
However, other family members immediately took her to hospital where she was declared brought dead.
Police have registered a case and initiated proceedings, they said.
Another woman Sameera Begum consumed some poisonous substance in her Zaloora, Sopore, house. She was shifted to hospital where she died.

Addressing the media over the issue, Air Chief Marshal Naik said, "Our strategy is to play it cool. We are not downplaying anything. As far as the Air Force is concerned there has been no reason to downplay anything. There have not been any incursions reported at the LAC."
He also hinted that the Indian Air Force is upscaling its strength to make sure the situation along LAC remain undisturbed.
