| State Govt discriminating with JU: NSF | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 11: National Secular Forum (NSF) has accused state government for discriminating with University of Jammu and hence the students of this region. Addressing a press conference here today, Sukhdev Singh said, "The University of Jammu has been neglected in all spheres, with comparison of Kashmir University. University of Jammu is being deprived in all aspects of development whether in the field of employment or in the infrastructural development, every time state authorities are playing the role of progress bearer". Singh alleged that a number of posts were created to provide opportunities to the educated and qualified candidates of the state in the Jammu University Council Meetings a number of times but every time when files were moved forward for further approvals of state government in various departments each and every file has been stayed under negligence of the concerned authority and it remained unconsidered and unmoved on the tables. Alleging that the government was showcasing regional biased, Sukhdev said, "It is the outcome of Kashmir centric politics and the government's senior officers is intentionally ignoring the aspirations of Jammu region. We have more number of scholars and deserving candidates waiting an entry to the education system but they have been debarred." He also lamented the Jammu based politicians and leaders for not raising the issue. |
