| Protest held against alleged favouritsm in college election | | | early times report
Jammu, Sept 11: Students of Govt Degree College (GDC), Akhnoor held a protest demonstration against the college administration and local administration for alleged irregularities and favourtism during the college elections held on this Sept 9.
Majorities of class representatives (CR's) submitted resignation to the principal of college to lodge their protest against the alleged unfair elections for the college president of students and then students boycotted their classes. Protesting student leaders also alleged that faculty members and some police personal could be seen pressuring the CR's to vote for the candidate sponsored by local politician. Protesting students served the ultimatum that until re-election is not held majorities of CR's will go for indefinite strike and even can move to court of law to get justice. |
