5 bovine animals rescued, 2 smugglers arrested 9/11/2013 10:28:36 PM Early Times Report Udhampur, Sept 11: Continuing its drive against bovine smuggling, Udhampur Police, foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling in which 5 bovine animals were rescued and 2 bovine smugglers arrested under the jurisdiction of Police Station Rehmbal. Based on reliable information, a Police party of Police Station Rehmbal laid a surprise naka at NHW in the wee hours, today and intercepted one Mahindra bearing registration No JK02BC-3143 which was on its way from Jammu towards Kashmir. During the thorough search of the Vehicle, 5 bovine animals were found packed inside this vehicle. Both the accused smugglers namely Romesh Kumar S/o Rattan Lal R/o Slairh Kotti R.S Pura, Jammu and Munir Ahmed S/o Mohd. Yousif R/o Miran Sahib Jammu were arrested on the spot and bovine animals rescued. The vehicle used was also seized.
