Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 11: Bhajwal Welfare Committee has highlighted the problems being faces by the people of Panchayat Upper Bhajwal of Block Sunder Bani. It said that people are facing problems since independence but till date, there is no sign of development.
While addressing the gathering, Yash Paul Sharma, Sarpanch Upper Bhajwal said that the people of upper Bhajwal are facing problems like roads connectivity, unscrupulous water, and electricity etc.
There is about 2600 population and most of the people are illiterate rather than other panchayat in the block Sunderbani.
People of villages Ladya and Bindi Gala have not seen the macadamized road or proper supply of water for last 66 years which is very shameful for the state.
Both villages are geographically hilly and people fetch water from 7km away.
There is also no water for domestic animals and people bring their animals 7km long distance to quench their thirst.
There also no connectivity of road which has forced people to carry heavy loads by themselves and its very difficult to cover 7km distance on foot daily.
Yash Paul Sharma said that students are facing lot of inconvenience due to lack of roads connectivity and they have to walk on foot in hilly area which is very dangerous for their life.
Further Sarpanch added that under the panchayat plan four new transformers were distributed to the villages like Lamban, Bindi Gala, Ladya by installing about 150 electric poles. Sarpanch also appreciated MP Madan Lal who often supports the panchayat by providing funds for the development.
Bhajwal welfare Committee has demanded immediate connectivity of roads and water supply in the Upper Bhajwal Panchayat otherwise Govt. have to face the people anger and will be responsible for all consequences.
