JAMMU, Sept 13: Vijay Kumar of Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) and Shreya Saxena were today declared best shooters in male and female category respectively in the 5th State Shooting Championship, organised jointly by Jammu District Rifle Association and Delhi Public School, here today. Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, Prof MPS Isher was chief guest in the valedictory function while Brigadier Ganguly was guest of honour. Both the special guests gave away medals to the winners of different events. Speaking to the participants, Prof Ishar appreciated their performance and encouraged them for improved performance at the national level. Earlier, in his welcome address, president of the Association, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Dilbag Singh informed the gathering that around 200 shooters in various age groups drawn from different districts and clubs as also educational institutions took part in this four-day competition held in 10 meters Air Rifle and Air Pistol events. He also presented a brief report of the Association activities and achievements at the state and national level.
