Jammu, Sept 13: Police headquarter has taken a strong exception to the 'self promotion' of an officer of the rank of SP as SSP in Reasi District wherein he had issued statements as SSP.
The incident took place when after the retirement of former SSP Reasi Raghuveer Singh, additional SP Reasi reportedly briefed a Minister introducing himself as SSP Reasi. The statement of 'new SSP' Reasi was also published in a local daily.
Meanwhile, the officer in question when contacted shifted all blame on media persons, stating that media persons are habitual of writing SSP for SP rank officer. He further said that soon after the statement was published in a local daily, his near and dears started congratulating him in anticipation of his promotion. |
