| Kishtwar BJP questions Congress' silence over 'atrocities' on minorities | | 'Rana fountain head of NC's corrupt practices' | | ET Report
KISHTWAR, Sept 13: Kishtwar BJP has launched a scathing attack on NC provincial president Devendra Singh Rana for his statements to a section of press on Kishtwar violence.
BJP National Youth Executive member Sunil Sharma said that close aide of Chief Minister, Davinder Singh Rana is a money minting machine for Omar Abdullah and his family which he does through corruption.
In a press statement issued today, Sunil Sharma said that Davinder Rana instead of highlighting his party's achievements is busy in spreading false propaganda against BJP and its party leader. He said that except corruption, nothing is visible on ground as the NC-Congress led coalition Government has failed on every front. He said that Rana is acting as a middleman between Omar Abdullah and corrupt officials of the State Government. He said that Hajji Yousaf death case followed by the statement of an eyewitness Salaam Rishi is an eye opener highlighting the corruption within NC ranks. He also condemned the statement of NC provincial president in which he (Rana) alleged that BJP leader held breakfast meeting with PDP leader Sartaj Madni at Dak Banglow Kishtwar few days prior to Eid violence. He said that the lie of NC leader is exposed from the fact that as per Rana's statement, PDP leader visited Kishtwar during the month of Ramzan and it was not possible to have breakfast with Madni as was alleged by the NC leader. He said that if Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, his close aide Davinder Singh Rana are serious about bringing the truth to public with regard to Kishtwar violence, Chief Minister must order a CBI probe into Kishtwar clashes as was demanded by the BJP. He said that statements issued by Davinder Rana from time to time are betrayal with those nationalist forces who sacrificed their lives in erstwhile Doda District during militancy. He said that instead of coming forward for the rescue of people during militancy, Davinder Rana preferred to settle in Jammu and Delhi. He said that NC has lost his ground in entire Jammu region and added that in order to gain the sympathies of people, NC leadership through its mouth piece Davinder Rana is busy in implicating separatist agenda. He alleged that Davinder Rana accumulated huge assets out of unknown source of income and demanded an inquiry against him. He said that his appointment as Provincial President NC and MLC is not based on his talent, but purely on his money power. He also challenged Rana to contest election against him from any constituency of Jammu province on the basis of honesty and truth. He also slammed PDP and Congress party for remaining silent over the atrocities on minorities in Kishtwar district. He said that like NC , both PDP and Congress are power hungry. He said that NC leadership is misusing its official machinery to protect MLA Kishtwar Sajjad Ahmed Kitchloo and his men, which can be judged from continuous camping of DIG DKR Ashkoor Wani at Kishtwar. He said that instead of transferring DIG wani, he still enjoys the backing of NC leadership and is busy in implicating false people in riot cases instead of acting against real culprits who not only roam freely, but were also invited in public meetings. |
