| Seven killed , over score injured in three different road mishap | | | Early Times Report
Jammu/Udhampur, Sept 13: Seven persons were killed while a score of persons were injured in three different road accidents in Udhampur, Ramban and Kathua district today. According to reports in a accident which took place on Jammu Srinagar Highway at Marog of Ramban district when a Santro car (JK02A/7308) rolled down into deep gorge when driver lost control over it the vehicle on its way from Jammu to Baramulla. "On receiving information, police party rushed to the spot and evacuated the bodies, a police sources said adding, "District Hospital Ramban doctors pronounced all the four as brought .The deceased have been identified as head constable Parminder Singh s/o Jagjeet Singh ,Pali w/o Parminder Singh, Babi d/o Harjeet Singh and Balvinder Kour w/o Inspector Tarnjeet Singh all residents of Baramulla Kashmir. After legal formalities the bodies have been handed over to the family members for last rites,'' police sources said. In another accident which took place near Dharmthal in Udhampur district in which two persons were killed and three others received injuries when a Tavera vehicle (JK020/2419), which was on its way from Reasi to Srinagar, rolled down into deep gorge at Dharmthal. The deceased have been identified as Sudesh Kumar son of Beli Ram Sameer and Sham Kumar both residents of Baga Reasi while the injured identified as Kiker singh son of Laxmi Dass, Sat Paul son of Beli Ram and Ajay Sharma son of Mangat Ram all residents of Bgga Reasi are undergoing treatment at District Hospital (DH) Udhampur . The concerned police stations have registered case in both cases and further investigations are on. Meanwhile in a separate incident, a woman was killed 28 others got injured when a Kathua bound bus turned turtle in Kathua district this afternoon. Reports said that woman identified as Sagro Devi w/o Late Sat Pal died on the spot while a score of passengers suffered injuries of which six seriously injured have been referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu. |
