| JTC, Soan Kashmir Front express concern over non availability of ration | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Sept 13: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) Jagti and Soan Kashmir Front J&K held a meeting today under the presidentship of Shadi Lal Pandita, President of the Committee and Front in which participants expressed their concerns over non availability of ration items at different Ration Depots for migrants in general and at Ration Depots of Jagti Nagrota in particular. During a meeting members said that though half of the month has elapsed but still ration supplies have not been made available at different Ration Depots with the result the migrants have been put to lot of sufferings. The members have also expressed their concern over lack of sugar quota supplies for past three months. Participants also made an appeal to the government as well as authorities concerned for ensuring early release of Ration items alongwith Sugar quota to all Ration Depots for migrants. During the course of meeting the member also raised the issue of over slackness of the Lecturer/Teachers posted in Govt. Higher Secondary School as well as Middle School Jagti in attending to their duties and Director School Education was urged to look into the matter for ensuring punctuality among teachers.They also demanded updgradation of road stretch from Kandoli Nagrota to Jagti as it has suffered intensive damages after incessant rains. On this occasion members also highlighted that the long 16 hours power curtailments still continue in Jagti Migrant camp adding miseries to the tenants of Jagti camp. Besides these they demanded enhancement of relief as present financial assistance does not meet their needs due to hike in prices of all essential commodities.
