early times report Jammu Sept 13: Vice Chancellor Prof. Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, on Friday laid the foundation of the Extension Block of the Examination Wing of the University of Jammu. With a built up area of over 17809 square feet, this four storey Block would be constructed within a period of 15 months. Speaking after laying the foundation stone, the Vice Chancellor said that with the construction of the new building whole examination wing will come under one roof which otherwise is scattered in various departments of the University. Prof. Ishar also said that the University is proposing to install Fee Depositing Kiosks at various locations of the University including Examination Wing so that students don't have to wait in long queues for depositing their fee and this will also reduce the burden on banks and other sections of the University. Prof Keshav Sharma, Controller of Examinations also spoke on the occasion and thanked Prof Ishar for his support and guidance. Among others present on the occasion were Prof. Manoj Dhar, Registrar, Prof. Keshav Sharma, Controller Examinations, Er. Arvind Gupta, Executive Engineer, Jai Kumar Sharma, Special Secretary to Vice Chancellor, Dr. Jitender Khajuria, Joint Registrar, Sh. Dharminder Mangotra, Deputy Registrar and other officers of the university were also present on the occasion. |
