9/13/2013 10:59:15 PM

Early Times Report

Kathua, Sept 13: Angered over shortage of supply in area, residents especially the women of ward number 4 today staged protest demonstration against Food and Supply department Kathua. The protest was led by Rekha Rani, Bimla, Koshalya, Sunita, Madhu and several others, who said that there were rampant irregularities at ration depot of Ward No. 4, which led to uneven distribution of ration among registered consumers. "This undemocratic approach of the department has forced us to move on street for protest.
And through this protest it is our urge to the Food and Supply Department to consider our genuine demand for providing the due share of ration and nobody should be abandoned to deprive of this right, otherwise we have to launch intensive agitation and for any dire consequences the department would be responsible", they said.
