| Another 'diktat' from SSB, candidates to bring extra photo to sit in exams | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Sept 13: Adding to the woes of the job aspirants, the SSB has directed all the candidates to bring extra photo to sit in the exams. Entrance test which was earlier scheduled to be held on September 14 across Jammu and Kashmir for various posts advertised by the board has been postponed for 17th September. According to reports, candidates who are appearing for SSB exams are being authorized to paste photograph on their admit card duly attested by a Gazetted officer. Further, it has been made compulsory for candidates to bring one additional photograph along with them for pasting on the attendance sheet at the time of written test, reports said. According to candidates, SSB has directed that in case additional photo is not carried by the candidate they will not be allowed to sit in exams. "They are making mockery of our exams by issuing such orders. It is sheer injustice. At first we were told to download admit cards online from SSB's website which is defunct and showing errors regularly and now another diktat follows," Javid Manzoor, a job aspirant. When contacted Chairperson, Service Selection Board (SSB), Shagufta Praveen said that some of the photographs have gone missing. "It is for the betterment of candidates to bring along a photograph with them so that it could be pasted on the attendance sheet for proper identification." Parveena further added that candidates are advised to bring identity card with roll number slip dully signed by Gazetted officers of their locality. It is pertinent to mention here that students earlier alleged irregularity in the process as some admit cards showed different address, parentage and somewhere no photographs were posted. |
