| PACWC condemns admn for not issuing gun licences | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kathua, Sept 30 : People's Action Cum Welfare Committee (PACWC) has demanded weapons terming it as need of the hour and a permanent means of public safety.
The committee today held a protest demonstration against the administration for not issuing the gun license at Kathua.
The protest was led by president of PACWC Gyan Singh Pathania who lambasted the state government and district administration for being liberal towards a particular community in issuing gun license while the major community of district Kathua is totally ignored and avoided for same.
He said it is the time when security forces are not in a position to provide the effective and result-oriented security facility to the common man, so it is very urgent need to provide the weapons to the common people so that they could manage their security cover themselves.
During the protest, the twin militant attacks on Hiranagar police station and army camp at Samba was also strongly condemned and termed as cowardice act of Pak sponsored militants. |
