| ReT teachers hold protest, demand release of pending salaries | | | | Poonch, Sept 30 : Activist of Rehber-e Taleem (ReT) teachers under the banner of ReT Forum staged protest demonstration in the premises of Chief Education Officer (CEO) Poonch to highlight their long pending demands including release of pending salaries for the last eight months. Led by President ReT Forum, Najam Jafri protestors from all the Tehsils of the district participated in the protest demanding early redressal of their demands. Protestors alleged that the despite of the repeated request the salary of the teachers has not been released from last eight months. Further express resentment over delay in implementation of Govt Order for regularization of converted ReTs, they alleged the department and concerned are just giving lame excuses like delay in collection of case files. During the protest in support of ReTs demand Manjeet Kumar Sharma President UTI, S Amrik Singh president EJAC and PDP senior leader Shah Mohd Tantray, Riyaz Aatish come forward and extent their cooperation for the redressal of their demands. Badar Din Rather, Khalil Khan, Sartaj Ahmed, Shamim-Ul-Hassan, Altaf Ahmed, Ghulam Abbas, Yousaf Shah, Abdul Waris, Shah Nawaz Bukhari, Muzaffar Khan, Ali Murtaza and others spoke on the occasion. Chief Education Officer (CEO) Poonch Abdul Hamid assured the protestors that their salary will be released as soon as possible and after his assurance ReT Forum suspended their strike for ten days. |
