| JKDF to reach youth power for bettering society | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Udhampur, Sept 30 : In a meeting of the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Front held in Udhampur, it was held that the main aim of JKDF is to channelize the entire youth power towards the overall development of Jammu region in particular which is suffering discrimination at the hands of Kashmir centric policies of the centre as well as state governments. Addressing the meet, Advocate Sunny Mahajan (state gen secy, JKDF youth) said that uniting the youth under one banner is the prime motto of JKDF, and in the present political set up of the state, JKDF has emerged as the boldest voice of Jammu region, especially of the youth. Mahajan said that the no development has been witnessed for the last more than 11 years in Udhampur, and JKDF will provide the best alternative to the people of the region so that the voice of the people be raised properly and their problems be redressed. He said that the upcoming elections are most important as they will decide the fate of Jammu region, and JKDF will leave no stone unturned to reach out to the masses at the maximum. Mahajan appealed to the people from all walks of life in Udhampur to extend their full support and co-operation to JKDF so that the people get due representation. While speaking on the occasion, Rameshwar Jasrotia (distt president, JKDF youth) along with S. Narinder Singh (distt gen secy, JKDF youth) alleged total failure of the district administration in providing basic amenities to the people due to which people are facing lot of hardships. They said that untimely power cuts and lack of drinking water facilities are the primary concerns of the people and the district administration has proved to be a failure on all fronts. They warned that if the problems of the people are not addressed at the earliest, the JKDF Udhampur unit will launch a massive agitation. A large number of JKDF activists attended the meeting and vowed to strengthen the base of party in Udhampur and to enroll more and more youth into the party-fold. |
