| Employees threaten to intensify stir if Govt ignores their demands | | | Early Times Report
Bhaderwah, Oct 10: Jammu and Kashmir Government Employees and Workers' Joint Consultative Committee senior leaders of erstwhile Doda district today threatened that the employees would intensify agitation if the state government continues to ignore their demands and will not release it all arrested leaders and expressed solidarity with other employees of the state. In a press conference addressed by District President Doda Abdul Hafeez Dar flanked with Nasir Ahmed Sheikh, Shokat Ahmed Ganai and Mohd Husain Sheikh and others threatened that the employees would intensify agitation if the state government continues to ignore their demands and will not release it all arrested leaders. Further expressing solidarity with other employees of the state ,. JCC leaders justifying their demands said that the state government is ignoring the genuine demands of the employees-including enhancement of retirement age from 58 to 60 years, removal of pay anomalies and regularization of all daily wagers and need basis workers for the past many years. "Government is deliberately adopting delaying tactics to befool the employees and are using force against peaceful movement of employees," they alleged. JCC also said the employees staged series of protest demonstrations during the past three months and presented a many memoranda to the state government instead of conceding to the demands it resorted to use of force to suppress the voice of employees. |
