| Two women among four rounded up | | Murder of Rajouri minor | | early times report
Rajouri, Oct 10: Four suspects including two woman have been lifted by the Rajouri police for questioning in the blind murder of a 2nd standard student of Army school who was kidnapped on Monday and his body was later recovered on Tuesday.
When Shalik Mansoor son of Mansoor Hussain a revenue officer didn't return home on Monday after the school was closed , his parents approached the school administration which informed the family that the deceased was dropped by the driver at specified point near his house on the fateful day.
During questioning by the police other children travelling in the school bus informed the police that Shalik was dropped at the specified point and he was received by a person bearing yellow shirt and Jeans.
The police was approached by the family and a joint search by the Police and people yielded no results and on Tuesday the body of the boy was found in an abandoned house wrapped in a plastic bag along with his school bag and shoes about 500 meters away from place where he was abducted.
Inhabitants of the locality, relatives and family members of the deceased have alleged that it was complete failure on part of police. "Had the police acted under well chalked plan the boy would have been saved as the kidnappers were in the same locality (Bhela colony) just behind the high security zone area housing offices and residences if DIG, DDC and SSP" said people.
On Wednesday Rajesh Kumar IGP visited the aggrieved family and the house from where the body of the boy was recovered and had directed the senior poice officers to solve the murder of young boy within stipulated time.
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) was also constituted which was headed by Mubassar Latifi district SP , with SP sanjay Sharma and DSP operations, Ayaz SheikH as its members.
Under the supervision of Mubasar Latifi DSP operations after specific intelligence inputs raided some hoses in Bhela colony and apprehended Imitiaz and his wife Sehreen resident of Thanamandi tehsil, Abid Manhas son of Mohd Shabir resident of Chandimarh (in Poonch district) and SAawati (nick name) wife of Nadeem who gave dodge police during the raids and disappeared.
Senior police officers including SIT members didn't respond to repeated calls to share the information about today's action . However, police sources said that the apprehended persons had some links in the murder of the boy.
Imitiaz and Sahreen living in a rented room in the house of Zahoor Hussain a policemen situated next to the house from where the body was recovered, posted in Sambha district.
Rubina Kousher wife of Zahoor said that on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday she had not watched any suspicious activity in her house.
Imitiaz is a resident of Thanamandi tehsil from where the father of the deceased belong and reportedly their families had some dispute in the past.
Whether it was a extortion case or 'supari' killing , it is a matter of investigation and soon the truth will come out and the persons involved in the murder would be behainf the bars as police working on every theory, said a senior police officer when contacted.
