Rakesh Sambyal Kathua, Oct 10 : Panic gripped entire Gujroo Nagrota area of tehsil Billawar following a threat letter received by the Principal of Higher Secondary School Gujroo Nagrota, on Thursday morning, who later handed over it to police. Sources informed Early Times that Principal of Higher Secondary School Gujroo Nagrota today informed police about the threat letter allegedly sent by suspected militant. "Mukesh Kumari a student of 11th standard had boarded a matador from Ujj Pul Ludera for her school. A 50 year old person sitting next to student, first enquired about the village of her school, nearby establishments of Army etc. When she boarded off the matador, he handed over a letter to her for me", the Principal informed Police. Police further informed that in the threat letter, the alleged militant had threatened to blow off the school, if the same would not be closed before Eid. "Close the school for two months, and if same will not be closed before Eid, you know about the Hiranagar episode. Same will be the fate of this school if you did not adhere to our dictates", the letter read, police said. Concerned Station House Officer, Daljeet Singh, while acknowledging receipt of threat letter, said that they have deputed Central Reserve Police Force and Police jawans to man the school. "Security has been beefed up including the Village Defence Committees, while a search has been launched to nab the suspected person", he said. |
