Regularization of 22 un-authorized colonies recommended 10/10/2013 11:29:05 PM Mustansir SRINAGAR, Oct 10: The Omar Abdullah led NC-Congress coalition Government has recommended regularization of 22 un-authorized colonies, The regularization was earlier recommended by sub-committee constituted under Chairmanship of Commissioner Secretary Housing and Urban Development department. The information was given by the Minister for Urban Development and Urban Local Bodies, Nawang Rigzin Jora today while replying to a question by Devinder Singh Rana in Legislative Council. The Minister further said that the Committee was constituted by the Government vide Government Order No. 1035/GAD of 2012 to examine the issues relating to the regularization of un-authorized colonies under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary. He said to facilitate the Committee a sub-committee under chairmanship of Commissioner Secretary Housing Urban Development Department was constituted and details included survey list of 22 proposed colonies were submitted. The Minister said the recommendations of the sub-committee were also reviewed by the Minister for Housing on 30-07-2013. It was decided in the meeting to recommend the regularization of un-authorized colonies. Jora said that some MLAs had reservations in respect of the left over areas of these colonies both at Jammu and Srinagar. Jora said it was decided that the survey of leftover areas be also conducted by SDA/JDA and Municipal Corporations of Jammu and Srinagar in consultation with the legislators.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
