Jammu, Oct 10: Department of Ophthalmology, Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H), Jammu today observed 'World Sight Day' to raise awareness among people about blindness and vision impairment, as well as the provision of eye healthcare.
Dr Shashi Gupta, principal of GMC&H was chief guest on the occasion while Dr Dinesh Gupta HoD of the department presided over the function. Dr Satish Gupta also presented on the occasion.
Many speakers including Dr Shagufta, Dr Deepti, Dr Tutika, Dr Amit and Dr Nalizer spoke on the occasion and imparted awareness about eye care techniques among the audience. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Shashi Gupta said that such events would prove beneficial in long run. She also called everybody to come in nearest hospital and 'Get your eyes tested'.
Earlier, Dr Dinesh Gupta HoD of the department, in his welcome address gives a brief introduction of departments working and summary. Senior faculty of GMC&H, students and guest were present on the occasion. |
