| JCC defers Govt Employees agitation till December 2013 | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 10: Immediate after his release from judicial custody, Senior JCC Leader and president Jammu and Kashmir National Trade Union Front (JKNTUF), Mohammad Gafoor Dar announced that all agitation programmes of JCC have been deferred till December 2013 as per the yesterday's decision of JCC leaders with Chief Secretary at Srinagar. While addressing a press conference, Gafoor Dar expressed his thanks to State government employees and workers for their cooperation during five days agitation programme which continued Oct 1 to 5, 2013. Dar appealed to all the Trade Union Leaders including those who have retired from govt. service to come forward for a broader JCC Platform for further struggle if the government fails to fulfill the agreement by Dec. 2013. Gafoor Dar further said that government after a JCC Leadership meeting held with the Chief Secretary Mohammad Iqbal Khandey regarding the demands of the State Government Employees which has been already agreed by the State Government and re-assured in yesterday meeting for full implementation of agreement. Meanwhile he highlighted their long pending demands included enhancement of retirement age from 58 yrs to 60 yrs from 1st Jan. 2014, removal of pay anomalies of different cadre and regularization of left our DRW's and regularization policy for casual labour/ITI trained need base worker who have been engaged after 94, budgetary support for PSU. |
