JAMMU, Oct 10: University of Jammu (JU) advanced into the next round after they registered a 17 runs win against Amity University in the ongoing North Zone Inter-University Cricket Tournament at MDU Rohtak in Haryana today.
As per the reports reaching here, JU, batting first, bowled out for 123 runs in 26.5 overs. Somaya Jain remained top scorer with 33 runs while Vishwajeet Singh (29), Shajad Ali (25) and Rahul Sharma (13) were other main scorers. From Amity University, Rana and Sumit shared three wickets each.
In reply, Amity University bowled out for 106 runs in 27.5 overs. Khara and Rahul remained top scores with 38 and 25 runs respectively. Rahul Sharma emerged as most successful bowler from JU with three for 19 while Mayank Gautam and Vikrant took two wickets each. Vishavjeet and Shiv Dutt shared apiece each.
