Jammu, June 24: Allegedly upset over estranged relation with her husband, a newly married girl tried to end her life by jumping into the River Tawi, this evening, police sources said.
Sources said, "The girl has been identified as Shallu wife of Sanjeev of Indira Nagar Miran Sahib."Police sources said that she allegedly had estranged relations with her husband and was staying in her maternal house for the last few days. "Upset over trauma of her new life, she today evening all of sudden jumped into the River Tawi,sources said and adding, " some passersby immediately informed the police and she was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H)." Police sources said that she was undergoing treatment when last reports came in. Meanwhile the concerned police have registered a case in this connection and started investigation. |
