| Premature transfer of Forester stayed | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 24 : In a petition filed by one Madan Lal Forester who challenged his transfer from Dharamshal Block to check Post Sunderbani mainly on the ground that it was being pre-matured and is violative of Govt Transfer Policy, and prayed that the peitioner had been posted at his present place of posting in the month of July, 2013 and has been transferred before completing the minimum prescribed tenure of two years, Vacation Judge of J&K High Court Jammu Wing Justice Janak Raj Kotwal after hearing Sr. Advocate KS Johal with Adv Sumit Bhatia for the petitioner admitted the petition and disposed of providing that the petition be treated as representation to Commissioner/Secretary Forest, who shall accord consideration thereto and take a decision and issue fresh order in conformity with the Government Transfer Policy. State High Court further directed that Commissioner/Secretary Forest shall do good by taking final decision in the matter within a period of four weeks after a copy of this order alongwith a copy of this writ petition is delivered in the office of Conservator of Forest by the petitioner for its onward transmission to Commissioner/Secretary Forest. Court further directed that till Commissioner/Secretary Forest takes final decision in the matter, the impugned transfer of the petitioner, that is, from Dharamshal Block to Check Post, Sunderbani shall not be implemented.
