DDC orders enquiry into 'unauthorized absence' of 2 Anganwari workers

UDHAMPUR, June 24: A deputation of villagers of Ladda, Morha Droud, Pancheri Tehsil today called on District Development Commissioner (DDC) Udhampur to lodge a complaint of unauthorized absence of two Anganwari workers.
Led by Bansi Lal Katoch Sarpanch Ladda and Kanchal Singh Panch, Kartar Singh Panch, Makhna Devi Panch, Darshna Devi Panch and Shanker Dass Lambardar submitted a written complaint to DDC Yasha Mudgal.
The complaint alleged that two Anganwari workers of Ward No 1 and 2 namely Santosh Devi and Saleema Begum are not attending their centres regularly.
The grievance claimed that in the last ten years of their service, both the workers have attend the respective centres only for 30 days due to which the children of these two wards are suffering.
After listening to the deputation, DDC Mudgal ordered an inquiry by the concerned department under intimation to her.
