Reasi, July 7: A one day workshop organized by Health department Reasi on 'Intensified Diarrhoea Control Fortnight' (ICDF) in the district hospital Reasi here today.
According to press release, Chief Medical Officer, Dr Parminder Singh, Deputy Chief medical Officer- Dr. K.C. Dogra, District level ICDF steering committee, members of Health Department, Block Medical Officers, District and Block Program Management units, Medical Officers, District Asha Coordinator, Block Asha Coordinators and NGO'S participated in this workshop.
Dr Singh speaking on the occasion informed that IDCF is a set of activities to be implemented in an intensified manner to prevent deaths due to childhood diarrhea across the district.
He added activities mainly include- intensification of advocacy activities, awareness generation activities, diarrhoea management service provision, establishing ORS-Zinc Corners, ORS distribution by ASHA, detection of undernourished children and their treatment, and promotion of Infant and Young Child Feeding activities. |
