| NC accuses PDP of backdoor appointments in Tourism Police | | Kettle calling the pot black! | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 7: Notwithstanding accusations of backdoor appointments looming large over some of the National Conference legislators during the NC-Congress regime, the party has raised fingers on PDP of backdoor recruitments in the tourism police. The NC spokesman accused the government of making appointments on the tourism police in violation of laid norms without advertising the posts. He accused that the kith and kin of the ministers were being recruited in a well hatched conspiracy ignoring the more eligible educated youth. However, it is strange that the statement of the Spokesman accusing the PDP of nepotism have come at a time when the State Vigilance Commission has censured the SVO for closing the cases of backdoor appointments in the State Legislative Assembly when two of the NC legislators were Speakers. There were glaring accusations that youth from their constituencies and those of some influential NC Ministers were absorbed in the Legislative Assembly in utter violation of norms. "NC has no moral authority to raise hue and cry over a non issue as PDP is committed to clean governance and party leadership would not accept any such thing" said a PDP leader in Jammu. |
