Jammu, July 7: University of Jammu organized the two days placement drive by the Azim Premji Foundation, represented by Sunil Sah, State Head of Chattisgarh Institute, Subhash Goswami. In total 72 students today appeared in the written test conducted by the Prem Aziz Foundation . Resource person Biology, Chandrika Murlidar, Resource person Chemistry, Shrikant and Smitha , members of Human resource conducted interviews for various posts coordinated by the Office of Dean Students Placement, University of Jammu. In order to apprise the post graduate students about the placement drive ,the Office of Dean Placement wrote to Heads of Departments of the University of Jammu about the drive . Prof RD Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu in his presidential address highlighted the various distinct and positive features of Jammu region e.g Culture , climate ,peace and cherishing nature of society at large , which is one of the reasons for students not leaving their respective hometowns. Prof Sharma said that in University of Jammu faculty comprised of 30 percent from outside the state and even after their superannuation most of them choose to stay back, that itself speaks that this place has an attraction and in this direction the respective Companies should put more of endeavours to educate and motivate youth to move outside the state. |
