| Soldier injured in Pak firing | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 7: There appears to be a spurt in the number of ceasefire violations by the Pakistani forces with the latest being reported from the Poonch sector of the Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday when an Indian soldier was injured in the firing from across the LoC. According to reports, the Pakistan army fired at a an Indian outpost on the line of control in which an Indian soldier was injured on Tuesday. The Pakistan Army violated the ceasefire on the LoC in Poonch district using small arms and automatics to target Indian posts at the LoC, said a defence spokesman. He said that the Pakistani firing started at 9.30 am. This was retaliated to by the Indian troops in equal measures, said the defence official. In this fresh round of skirmish, an Indian soldier suffered a grazed bullet injury. He was rushed to a military hospital where his condition is stated be stable. |
