Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 25: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday announced the historic initiative of his government to transform 200 schools into Smart Schools for Tribal communities. Furthermore, the J&K Govt has taken another major decision to provide scholarships to 21000 children of the Gaddi, Sippy, Dard, Sheena communities who were deprived of the same for the last three decades. It is a historic initiative on the part of the J&K government to provide scholarships and other initiatives to the Giddi, Sippy, Dard, and Sheena communities but the biggest question is about the helpless Koli community. Socially, the educationally and economically backward Koli community of J&K, is being deprived of constitutional rights for the last over three decades due to the apathetic approach being adopted by the successive state governments. Koli community appears as Scheduled Tribe (ST) in the central list. And most important of all the other sub-castes of this community namely Gaddi and Sappi are already included in the ST list of J&K. Anti-Terror agency's searches in Kashmir in Al-Qaeda attack plan case

Early Times Report Srinagar, Nov 25: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) today carried out searches at five locations in Kashmir in connection with its investigation into a case related to an Al-Qaeda group's plan to launch terror attacks in India, an official said. The case was initially registered in Lucknow by Uttar Pradesh's Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) on July 7 and subsequently taken over by the NIA for an in-depth investigation on July 29, a spokesperson of the agency said. Agencies New Delhi, Nov 25: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday said the Centre withdrew its agriculture laws as the BJP is "sensitive" towards farmers. He also attacked the opposition Congress and the Samajwadi Party (SP), saying his party can never "fire bullets" on farmers and "Ram bhakts". Early Times Report Srinagar, Nov 25: Gulmarg is the coldest place in Kashmir on Thursday at minus 1.2 degrees Celsius as the mercury rose due to an overcast sky in the valley during the night. Night temperature at most places showed improvement, but fog condition made life difficult as the MeT office said, weather is most likely to remain cold and dry till November end across Jammu and Kashmir. Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Nov 25: The Government today informed that 182 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 33 from Jammu division and 149 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 336063.
