NC getting closer to BJP; likely to repeat alliance of 80's, Vajpayee era | | | By Special Correspondent
JAMMU, Nov 8: If the election campaign is any indication, National Conference (NC) has seemingly made-up its mind to ally with BJP in Jammu and Kashmir, even if PDP emerges as the single largest party on December 25 later this year.
Proof of the pudding is in the eating! Party rank and file have seemingly been handed over a written script of speeches they would be making during ongoing election campaign. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and National President of BJP Amit Shah, who were focus of NC's campaign during the Lok Sabha elections, have both gone missing from the speeches and diatribe of both the leadership as well as candidates of NC.
They are no more the targets. For NC rank and file, the new targets are PDP leaders especially the Chief Ministerial candidate Mufti Mohammed Sayeed and his daughter Mehbooba Mufti.
Despite knowing well that BJP has already polarised the atmosphere and is banking heavily on Hindu vote bank unilaterally voting for it, NC is seemingly content with decimation of Congress in Jammu region.

Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Nov 8: The old adage 'too many cooks spoil the broth' fits the bill with respect to the Kashmiri Pandit candidates who are going to fight the elections from the Habba Kadal constituency in the summer capital of the state.
