BJP again betrays Jammu as AIIMS sanctioned for Valley
3/21/2015 12:02:23 AM
Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 20: Always ready to barter wishes and aspirations of people of Jammu to enjoy power at any cost, the BJP has once again betrayed people of Jammu by ignoring this region in sanctioning All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). During this budget, the NDA government headed by Narendra Modi has sanctioned AIIMS for Kashmir Valley and ignored Jammu region. It was long pending demand of the people of Jammu region to get AIIMS because medical facilities are only of names of Jammu while Kashmir has well-established institutes like SKIMS. In Kashmir Valley there are world class health facilities but in Jammu province most of the hospitals are beset with infrastructure deficit. During Governor's Address, the state government has also officially admitted that AIIMS has been sanctioned for Kashmir Valley. "We thank the Central Government for announcing the setting up of an All India Institute of Medical Sciences in the Valley and the establishment of an IIT and an IIM for Jammu", stated in Governor's Address. Since formation of NDA government in the mo...

3/21/2015 12:01:38 AM

"In the Kashmir Valley and the Muslim dominated areas of the Jammu region, especially the Chenab Valley, PDP generated an atmosphere of fear psychosis about BJP and RSS trampling and mutilating their distinct identity to garner maximum votes but later joined them as per prefixed game-plan", he said while welcoming merger. The NC had won 15 seats out of 87 Assembly seats from J&K state. How else should one describe the Thursday speech of NC working president and former Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on the floor of the Assembly? Speaking on the Motion of Thanks on the Governor's Address, Omar Abdullah, among other things, talked about the refugees from West Pakistan and delimitation of Assembly seats. He, in fact, opposed the idea of gr...
