PDA demolishes illegally raised structure in Pahalgam ET Impact 9/22/2016 10:38:55 PM Early Times Report Anantnag, Sept 22: Demolition squad led by Chief Executive Officer Pahalgam Development Authority Thursday demolished illegally raised structure in Pahalgam. Structure was raised in violation of High Court directions that has imposed a blanket ban over any sort of constructions in Pahalgam and adjacent areas falling under the jurisdiction of Pahalgam Development Authority. Chief Executive Officer Pahalgam, Mushtaq Ahmad Semiani told Early Times that structure was demolished this evening by the demolition squad. Pahalgam Police, Municipal Committee Pahalgam were too part of the demolition squad. Station House Officer Pahalgam (SHO), Tariq Ahmad Khan and Executive Officer Municipal Committee Traiq Ahmad also accompanied the demolition squad during the drive. Pertinent to mention here, Early Times has reported several times that some blue-eyed and influential are taking undue advantage of prevailing unrest and are raising illegal structures. After ET news reports, PDA has registered FIR against at least 17 such violators who constructed huts and other structures in Pahalgam in past two months.
