All is not well in BJP, anger high against power hungry ministers | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 22: All is not well in State BJP because party leaders have raised banner of revolt against ministers in the government. Statement issued by spokesman of state BJP, Prof Virendra Gupta is an indication that party is not happy with the performance of ministers. BJP is facing anger of the people for not giving due respect to the Uri martyrs, who belonged to Jammu region but the party ministers are shamelessly enjoying luxuries being provided to them as ministers. Not even a single minister has so far spared time from the company of "power-brokers" to visit residence of two martyrs of Jammu who were among 18 soldiers who lost their lives in Uri terror attack. For formality sake, party ministers had attended cremation of martyrs on Monday but after that formality they were against busy in the company of power-brokers and business lobbies under whose guidance BJP ministers are performing their duties. What is more shocking in criminal silence of senior BJP minister on the issue of releasing ex-gratia relief to the Dogra martyrs who lost their lives in Uri attack. Jammu is on boil but the BJP minister has not uttered even a single word on this burning. Patience of BJP leaders is running out and statement of Prof Varinder Gupta, issued on Wednesday is an eye opener. He expressed his great concern and shock on the apathetic attitude of state government about the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of the country. He said that It is a sad affair that government of Jammu and Kashmir state has not come out with any such like gesture on its part to help the families of martyrs, Ravi Pal and Karnail Singh who belong to our State, though in the past the state government liberally helped the families of terrorists who were involved in anti-national and secessionist acts. |
