Early Times Report

JAMMU, Sept 21: A police post incharge, who was transferred to other place four days back following his alleged involvement in cattle smuggling, has surprisingly got his order cancelled.
He is so well connected that after his transfer, he did not let the other SI, who was IO in a Jammu district police station, join in his place and took the help of his senior officers in this regard.
He was transferred from the police post because he faced serious allegations of cattle smuggling, police sources said.
He also took the assistance of some senior BJP leaders to get his transfer order cancelled.
The leaders spoke to a senior police officer, who, in turn, asked a district police officer to cancel his transfer order. "So, within four days of his transfer, he has got his order cancelled," the sources added.
"Even as he is posted at the police post since long, he doesn't want to get transferred from there due to various reasons. One reason is that police post is situated in a peripheral area where seniors hardly visit for any inspection," sources said.
