PHE ITI trained, CP workers hold protest | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 22: PHE ITI trained and CP workers on Thursday held strong protest demonstration at Exhibition Ground near Press Club. A large number of workers under the banner of All J&K PHE ITI Trained and CP Workers Association (Jammu province) assembled and raised slogans in favour of their demands. Tanveer Hussain, President of the Association, who lead the protest, criticized the higher authorities in the department for not addressing the pending issues of the daily rated, need base CP workers and ITI trained employees. He strongly condemned the attitude of the previous government for not paying any heed towards the genuine issues of the workers who are without wages for the last about three years. "Our families are facing starvation and the senior officers have remained mute spectators," he said and demanded that these workers be regularized without any further delay. He said that concerned minister Sham Choudhary failed to address their issues despite assurances. Protesters urged the State Government to intervene personally and decide the fate of the ITI trained and CP workers of the PHE Department. |
