Kissan mela a hoax 9/22/2016 11:11:50 PM Rajesh Tandon Early Times Report Poonch, Sept 22: A Kissan mela was organised in Poonch Dashnami Akhara by the Deptt of Agriculture in Collaboration with kissan Board. The nexus between the agriculture deptt and Kissan board in exposed when the kissan mela was organised in the month of Assu when farmers are busy in the works. This month is called as Assu and the farmers remain almost busy during this month. The department of sheep husbandry, Agriculture deptt, Floriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries, Handloom, and others participate in the meeting. No farmer participated in the mela because of their busy schedule. The departments called up some of uts officials and workers to attend the mela. No awareness is given to the farmers.
